Hey Jackie...I didn't see your question til today...so I'm sure your CS is already at GL. My sailor hasn't told us anything informative except that she should know more tomorrow. This on hold thing is hard!
I texted my son and he said he would be happy to talk to her. I think if she talks to someone that can explain what to expect the next few weeks it will ease her mind. The thought of new things always makes most of us nervous and yearn for the times we knew we had some control or at least know what to expect. My son is James and he is in the class that will graduate 10/25. Also I will be there in two weeks. Coming from NY If your daughter needs anything just let me know If you wish just let me know who she is and the barracks. My son will try and talk to her. He has liberty this weekend but has duty Monday.
Jackie
How are you soon? I think we won't know and neither will they until the receive their orders at pir that what I read depending on flights out etc. Maybe it will be delayed because of holiday weekend :)
Jackie that would be great to meet! My son will be a CRT! God know what that is he will be classified intercepting enemy transmissions recoding them for our intelligence. Its foreign to me! And apparently top secret! Ugh
I'm hoping the 30 th too. But never found out from recruiter. I thought we had to wait for letter? I guess the 30 or 6 th His day is the 5th. I will have to let you know when I get my letter. Hope the 30th are you going? We are driving
I think you click on the persons name say on the comment and the go to their page it should say friend request or invite. I think that's it some of this is confusing lol! So glad you got her box! Was it what you expected? I told my son to secretly leave a note in a pocket!
My sons sunburn was apparently good enough to go! Are you doing OK? I'm up and down. Thinking about what they might be doing! Trying to stay busy we are up in Maine at beach washing my worries away!
Glad you had a great party I am sure it was bittersweet as well.
Well it is coming so quickly now I think I am getting waves of panic every once in awhile.I went for a walk today and a song came on that triggered it out of no where.
Thank you for keeping my son in your prayers as well. I will surely do the same for Britt. I have learned on this site about burning or lighting a blue candle for them when they leave for BC. Or have important days etc. I did get a few blue candles as well as the battery ones to light. They were hard to find. I will be sure to light one for Britt as well when they leave for BC.
So my son is off again with friends tonight I guess its easing me into him being away. Almost every night he has been out when all I want to do is see him knowing time is slipping away. Enjoy these last days! Nancy
Have a wonderful birthday celebration for Britt! Congratulations she is making some pretty great choices before her 18th birthday. You should be very proud of her and this big decision. My sons birthday will be when he is away as well but probably will fall just around the graduation from BC. Tyler will turn 21 ugh. As you can see boys do mature a little slower. Where will Britt be going to A school? My son will be in Pensacola. Have a great time tonight. Nancy

Jackie, it is Monday 8/26. The only place to get the info is from an SR, and mine gave me the date at the very end of her last letter.
