OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

A little about me:
My son arrived to boot camp on 7/23/13 at Great Lakes. Me, my daughter, his step-dad miss him like crazy but wish him nothing but the best and are VERY proud of him. I have a 10 year old daughter at home and hopefully between her and work everything will keep us busy enough that before we know it, were on our way to see Jordan at boot camp graduation.

Hi Amy,

I received my son's box also, I have never cried before about dirty laundry but I did.  I am anxiously awaiting his form letter, I have written notes / letters everyday - seems to help a bit.  One of the girls in the office is out on a family emergency this week so I have been consumed with month end.  I am praying that we receive our letters today.

Take care...Laurie
