OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

His #1 Fan, thanks for the friend request. Looking forward to learning as much as I can. Spoke with my son yesterday and it seems he should be there sometime next month.

I am just so sorry...but I think Jessica may be right. I bet the letters will get there. Just remember...he is in the hard hard time of bc....but this part doesn't last much longer for him. He is at the turning point where it gets better. I know you feel helpless to help him, and wanted your letters to convey your love and support. Hang in there...because I think he will get the letters and hopefully things will be better soon. My son got asmoed (setback) when he was there. if your husband goes through this, please let me know. It is a hard time, but they come out of it unless something is really wrong. Try not to worry and PRAY ALOT!

Are you writing the address:

SR (last name, first name)
Ship # Div #
Recruit Training Command
(street address)
Great Lakes IL (zip)
I ask because on the board, you wrote something about when he graduates. Does that mean you have been putting the PIR date on there? Maybe I just misunderstood. But they do their very best to get letters to them. I bet he will get them.
