DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

It feels really good to hear from chris. Even if he said stuff like "cant wait to get outta this hell hole" or "i hate this place!" lol He said it just sucks not having freedom, the physical and mental stuff is the least of his worries! BUT ive heard from many ppl that the first couple weeks are the worst and thats over with so things should start looking up, and our letters should become more possitive! Plus hopefully phone calls sunday. :) maybe monday on my bday!!! :)

lol, yeah! He said that his bunkmate was a Houston texans fan (he is a die hard dallas cowboys fan! lol) he said "Hes a houston texan fan, but ill let it slide bc he is from there" lol But he said it was nice that they both missed home bc they had that in common. They both miss us and talk about it.

Hey Abby! Sorry it took me awhile to get back with you, I have been out of town for the past couple days. I got my husbands information letter a week after he left, which it did help a lot! It's nice finally having somewhere to actually send all the letters I have been writing, and to know when his pir date is because now I have something to count down to!

Hi Abby! I was wondering if you by chance got a phone call from your husband today? I got one at around 10:30am my time. He was only able to talk for 5 minutes, but it was better than nothing. He didn't know his address, but he did tell me that he is in Division 347.

Anyways, I hope you have a great day.

Take care,

Megan

We have pretty much been doing the same thing this week. We have this, that and the other things, so it does help to keep busy.

You're right when you said that writing helps. I try to write down everything that we did that day, so it is like he doesn't miss a day while he is gone. I know he was probably busy yesterday, but it had to hurt to miss his daughter's birthday and kindergarten orientation. I just hope he is okay. He left at time when so much is going on, and it makes me worry even more for him sometimes.

How are your children doing? Is your daughter okay? I know she is a bit older, so I wasn't sure if she had really said anything yet.

Keep busy and take care:)
