Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son left Sept 10 for boot camp in Great Lakes. I know I shouldn't receive a formal letter till later. But how do you find out his PIR date and his ship and div number

Thanks, I just got a little confused and wanted to make sure that you weren't confused as well. You may want to indicate that you are not attending the 11/01/2013 Meet and Greet.

Hi, you still need to make change number 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) to remove your last name from the URL above. You will also want to make change number 3.

Hi, welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. I see that you have changed your Username so that it no longer contains your last name; you also need to change the URL to this page to remove it from there as well. Number 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) will tell you how to fix that. There may be other changes you will want to make as well, such as change number 3.

What is your SR's rating (job/specialty) going to be? There are groups for most ratings and/or "A" Schools and knowing that will help you to better plan for PIR weekend. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Hi and Welcome.

We are happy to have you on the Navy for Moms site.  You are invited to join either the Illinois or Missouri family page as listed below.  It is a great way to find families in your area and even help plan meet and greets. We also have some packing parties for our troops overseas getting together.

Looking forward to hearing from you in one of our groups!

Be sure and let me know if you have any questions! MEET AND GREETS are scheduled :)

PS.  Feel free to “cruise” my page and see if there are any other groups that interest you. One of my passions is supporting our deployed troops.  Check out http://www.navyformoms.com/group/mollysadoptasailorproject and see if it is a group you may like to join.
