OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Thank you so much for your kind words and information you provided me.   Wish I would have found this site earlier when he left. My son sounded good when he called today. He will be carrying the Minnesota flag. He said for us to sit on the South side, they will be entering from the North. He is a grad & go.  Have a safe trip & hope to see you there!

Hello Aveoamare!  My son's name is Derek. I just found out I have a letter at home waiting for me.  I will tell him your husband's name in my next letter.  I wonder if he will mention anyone's names in that letter today.  His girlfriend got a letter yesterday and he said he's really tired but doing good and loves the letters from everyone, it really helps him get through.
