7 days

It's surreal how quickly the time has gone. It seems like just yesterday I wrote the first blog post, and now we're down to single digits.

In 6 days Josh will leave the house, travel to Boise, check into a hotel and get on a plane the next day to start perhaps the biggest adventure of his life.  I'm thankful that we will be able to spend the evening with him (that he wants us to!), hang out and enjoy a few last moments before he departs.

It will be so strange not having him at…

34 days..

It's so hard to believe there are just 34 more days left with Josh until he leaves to start his new life!  The time has flown by; so fast in fact, that I find myself in this surreal situation watching my middle son become a man before my very eyes.  Words will never adequately express how proud I am of him, how much I will miss seeing his face each day, his wit and sarcasm, and all the joy he brings to the house.  It's so amazing how quickly this has come about, even though it's been 6…

Hi, since you have an SR at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted" and since you have chosen to include pics on this page, check out OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile) and make change 3.

I see that your SR will go to “A” School for Information System Technician (IT) since you have joined Corry Station IT Moms; join, or at least check out, IT A Schoolers, INFORMATION SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN - IT, ITOF, IT-ATF, ITS, Sailors at Corry Station holding or in school and Sailors In Pensacola, FL For A School....Corry Station too!!. The Rating Information Card for IT can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/it.pdf. Your Sailor will fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend once you get the form letter.

Take care and blessings to you and yours.
