Since you have an SR at the RTC, you can change "Waiting to leave for Boot Camp" above to "Enlisted."

I see you have joined your PIR group; I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Sorry for the delayed response. I haven't been on for a bit. My son arrived in GL on 4/4. He was supposed to be there on 4/3 but his flight was cancelled due to weather. He called on Saturday and he's really having a tough time. Wish there was something I could do.

Hi - hope you had a good day! I am forcing myself to stay busy. Planted lots of new shrubs in my yard. My son had started working in the flower beds before he left so when they are finished I'll take a picture and send it to him. He doesn't think i can finish anything without his help :)

When I accepted your friend request your message and email disappeared. I'm still trying to figure out exactly how to use this website. Sorry. Here's my email - ersheppard@aol.com
I look forward to going through this journey with you as a friend!! Is your daughter missing her brother? I'm happy to have one left in the "nest" - how about you?

have a nice evening

Hi there - my son is ship 4 division 188. i got the box and the letter and that's it so far. he got to RTC on 4/4. i'd love to get a letter or call. Trying to find plane tickets and pick a hotel. So many to pick from. Do you have other kids? We have a 14 year old son who will come with us. i'm trying not to worry too much but reading about the difficulties some of the other recruits have had already makes me wonder. It's nice to find another mom in the same division.

Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in April.  You will meet others with loved ones leaving 04/03/2014 or this week who may be in the same TG and have PIR together. Be sure to check out the discussion, Things to Do in the Last Month before Your Future Sailor Leaves for the RTC. I also suggest you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and begin checking out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions there.

Your future Sailor may want to join http://www.navydep.com to learn the ins and outs from the DEP point of view. Craig runs that and will steer him to some good links on there.
