Congrats! And welcome to the journey!

congrats on your CS my son is also a CS he is currently on the Ronald Reagan

Wow, my son would love to go to Japan. Congrats to your son mom! Did your son go to C school? I am hearing that most CS go to Groton, CT for submarine school. The recruiter did not say anything about that...

Only if your son qualifies or asks for sub service do they go to Groton. Everyone else, and that is MOST of the CS, are assigned in the last week of school at Fort Lee. My son went directly to the USS Carl Vinson which was already deployed - flew to Guam and dropped on the ship for the next 9 months. It's been a while and he's now on his second deployment, working the supply side of CS instead of the galleys this time around. Welcome to the Navy world.

My son is also working in supply right now, he likes the change of pace and learning something new.

My son went to ft Lee for culinary training and then his first post was at camp Pendleton cooking in the naval hospital. He loves to cook and is loving Japan.
