I wonder if your son is deploying with mine?? Mine is going out very soon. He told me not to come when he ships off but to come when they sail back in.
Where's he stationed?
I gonna be there for both!!!
Depends on how they go. Some fly out of NAS's, while some go out on Navy ships. We have seen our Sailor daughter fly from NAS Norfolk and we were pier side twice. If you go pier side take a cooler with drinks and a couple lawn chairs would hurt. I do wish you well.......
Does a corpman able to choose their deployment, I read from somewhere that you put in 3 choices of places where you wish to get assigned.
Your assignment ( where you are stationed) is different then being deployed. My Corpsman is currently station in Southern Cal. He did get to pick 3 choices in A school got his second choice!!!
Thank you Catherine, we were told by the recruiter that being deployed is a voluntary thing. Is it true?
No it is not,my Corpsman is attached to a Marine Corps unit, he goes where they go!!!
I've never been there when my son or daughters have left for deployments ..... I have been there for the homecomings ......
Hi there, my daughter is going to SA Texas for HM A school this coming July 15. I wa wondering is it possible to follow her to SA Texas and will she be able to have her liberty during the first days at her A school or is she allowed to go out off base on her first weekend?
She has to phase up before getting liberties there are a few different phases I think my son wasn't able to come off base until he was there like a month or two
