Hi everyone, new mom here. My son left for bootcamp 7/12, just recieved his belongings and patiently waiting for the phone call and letter. Opening up the box has really struck a nerve, reality hit hard. Waiting feels like forever.

Hi and welcome. My son left on 7/13 and I was very emotional opening the box yesterday. It was almost like, "Where is the rest of my kid!" I miss him dearly yet I am so excited and anxious to see how he develops after BC.

You are in the right place for support!

Hey moms...my son has been gone for two years now and even though we talk or text most everyday they are still our "babies". Boot camp is hard. I wrote my son a letter every day and started mailing them once I got his address. I did this the whole time so he would get mail. This made me feel connected to him. I also printed off there itinerary so I had an idea what he was doing everyday.

How do you get their itinerary?

Arrival and What Happens at the RTC will let you know what is happening and what to expect and includes the link to the Day by Day (http://www.navydep.com/forums/showthread.php?t=433).

Yes, please how do you get their itinerary? Thank you.

See above.

Cam'smom, check your My Page.

hello, My son left on July 12th as well. I just received his box yesterday and keep checking for the form letter. = )

Hello there, my son too left on July 13th. We received his box yesterday with his now called "civvy clothes" inside, my younger son took pleasure opening it as he misses his brother dearly. I bit my poor overly bitten lip trying not to cry. Cannot wait for the 2nd 30 second phone call and form letter. I'm glad I have this site where all the moms are "in the same boat" (haha) so to speak.

Newbiemom18, I left info for you on your My Page.
