Hi my daughter was to graduate 8/18 she failed a physical, assuming running - her least fav. I got the call last Tuesday. They gave her 2 minutes to read a scripted statement 2 times through her sobs. The only other thing she could say was she failed her physical test, then they made her hang up. Haven't heard from her since. I called legal for past 3 days after reading it's possible she'll still be graduating 8/18 but will be in stands. I got thru to a live person in legal today and they said she would call me today. She didn't. I don't know if we should get in our flight tomorrow or not? We live in CA. What do I do? Isn't there someone who can give a parent an answer? All I need is an answer to the question of do we come or not? Why won't they give us a straight answer? Is there anyone I can call to get a definitive answer by 6am PST on 8/17? Thanks!

lgWhisperer, I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter! We went thru this last year with my son. Unfortunately once you get that dreaded call you do not hear from them again until they pass! So unfortunately if you didn't hear from her that means she didn't pass! And if she didn't pass you will not be on the list and you won't be allowed on the base!

Thanks - It's so hard not knowing and we're so far away. Ugh! Why did they tell me she would call today if they knew she wouldn't?  It's like they pacify you by saying what you want to hear, then they hang up and you get to sit and wait and wonder.  If we lived nearby it would be different, but we're halfway across the country from her.

At this point, she probably will not have PIR on Friday. See the info in Battle Stations-21 (BST). There is a waiting list for BST for those in FIT after they pass the PFA . Females must go through with an integrated division, so that affects when they can go through BST.

We had started to drive from Pa to Illinois and had to turn around. My oldest son flew from North Carolina to Great Lakes just in case our son passed and when he got there they told him no and he wasn't allowed access to base or to his brother!
I now this sucks and you are a wreck but I guess this is life in the military!
