Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Our son shipped 11/28 from Denver CO. We got his box and form letter with his address, and sent off a letter to him. We have another son that was a Marine sniper with 2 deployments. So far it's easier this time. Our Navy recruit was good about telling us what he knew to prepare us. I still have sad moments and miss him but, know he will be fine.

My son left for the hotel 11/28 and arrived at O'Hare on 11/29. I am so glad to connect with you ladies. My son is an older sailor (turning 23 while at bootcamp). So, he was already out of the home. I sure do miss him anyway! His box arrived on 12/04. No form letter yet.

Hello and Welcome!
My son too is an older recruit. 24!! He left for hotel on 11/27 and sworn in and flew to BC on 11/28. Have not heard from him at all but did get box on 12/4 also! Praying for him daily!!

Son left for BC on 11/28. Still do not have form letter and recruiter will not get back to me with his PIR or address. No phone calls either...

He would have sent it to me or my parents! Neither of us have received the form letter. I have not heard from him at all so I assume no news is good news. Would just like to at least get him a card from Christmas!!
