**PLEASE REMEMBER OPSEC AND DON'T POST SPECIFIC DATES REGARDING SHIP MOVEMENT**

Dates may only be discussed AFTER they have happened.

Here's the shipping info.  Remember you will need the specific box # from your Sailor.

Here's the link to order a "Ship to Shore" calling card. (You want to verify that you are purchasing a "Ship to Shore" calling card.)

https://www.shopmyexchange.com/scs/calling-card

They do have a toll free # listed and I would suggest calling them before you make a purchase.

Customer Care 1 800 569-2018.

**Please note that I have not used them.  When my son deployed back in 2015 he bought his ship to shore card at the Nex and I was able to re-load it.

Your sailor can also buy them at the NEX but they often run out (and it seems they cost more than going directly to AT&T).

Here's the link to the USPS "Click & Ship".  You can get free boxes/tape etc. from them too.

Thank you for the info!! Do you know how I’d address a box to send to my son on the Truman? I got email from him today with his box number. Thanks for all the helpful info you share!!!

This is how you address a package.  If your sailor is part of an air crew attached to the Truman they might have a different address.  This is for sailors on the Truman.

Thank you for this!!!

I pulled this from the public FB page for the Truman FRG:

Ombudsman contact info:

Kenzie 757.572.4052   HST.OMB.1@gmail.com

Melanie 757.572.7568 HST.OMB.2@gmail.com

Christina (no # listed) HST.OMB.3@gmail.com

Amrita 757.572.7190 HST.OMB.4@gmail.com

Emily 757.572.6571 HST.OMB.7@gmail.com

Not sure who to contact?  If you sailor's last name starts with:

A-E - Kenzie

F-J - Melanie

K-O - Christina

P-T - Amrita

U-Z - Emily

Of course this is just a suggestion, contact whomever you are more comfortable with.

The ombudsmen are a direct link between the families and the ship! They are who you contact in case of emergencies to find resources and contact your sailor.  They also have an abundance of resources that can help you out!

Good to know, thank you!

The Truman arrived in France!  Hopefully you are getting texts/calls/emails/pictures!
