Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Graduation
I know that each recruit is only allowed 4 guests at graduation. We were told by some people that there is a large screen that shows the graduation outdoors for those that cannot go to attend due to space. Is this true?

Hi Kelly not all PIR's have four people attending sometimes it is three depending on how Large and How Many Div. are in the PIR. But here is the live streaming for those that cannot attend.

Kelly, For a while now everyone entering RTC must have a ticket, and no extra guests allowed on base. Several months ago the RTC allowed extra guests to go to the Chapel on base and watch the live stream, but that is no longer allowed, and hasn't been for several months. To my knowledge there has never been an outdoor gathering area on base to watch a live stream of the ceremony.
Many of the hotels do stream the live video in their lobby or a conference room. Ask your hotel if they stream it. Those that are not attending PIR may also watch the live stream on a computer.
