Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My heart, Form letter, Div 370, Sept 21st
Yes finally my heart is at peace.. We finally received the form letter from my son with all the info needed to know. In tears right now as I type this post. So happy for him as he starts this chapter in his life. Becoming a man and serving our beautiful country. Very proud of him.. We miss him so much.
Thank you to Navy For Moms.

Marta, So happy for you that you received the form letter! Isn't it a relief to finally see their writing & something from them. I'm going to be honest, When I saw the envelope I did not recognize the writing and for a moment I thought it was someone else's printing, but boy was I surprised to see such nice writing :) I was very emotional myself like many moms here but you are in the right place all these wonderful ladies who share their stories, give support & encouragement make it a whole lot easier. Yay, time to write letters to your son & they love receiving letters as it helps them stay positive, motivated & feel connected with the family in some way :) Prayers & blessings to you & your family & May God guide & protect your son on this journey with the Navy!

AHHH! I had tears in my eyes reading your post! I'm a mess lol! So glad you got your letter!!! Waiting anxiously here! What did your son arrive at RTC? Have you gotten his box too? My son arrived there late Monday night and his box came today but no form letter yet of course.

Hello DJsMamma! Sorry it took me a while to respond. I've been very busy. So my son left on Sept 26. I received his box on July 31, the form letter on Aug 13, and his first call on Aug 18 which was his 3 week into boot camp. He said he will give us a second call on his 5th week. So I'm praying that it will be Sept 1st (next Sat). Have you received a call? I literally cried like a baby. It was great to hear his voice. He said he was home sick. I told him not to cry and that whenever he is feeling down think about home being the same. Nothing's change. Safe life over here so you are not missing anything. He said, I know mom. We told him we were very proud and that we want him to live his own life and make something of himself.
