For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

If you need any help you will get much needed from everyone, send me a message if I can help. Make sure he takes his cell phone and he keeps it charged, that is how he will make the I'm Here call as they do not have phones for them to use. From what I am Hearing don't bother with a calling card as he will be able to purchase his own at the NEX. The Box it comes Fed Ex and needs to be signed for or a ticket will be left for pick up or maybe another delivery attempt. here is another site on how he will get paid.

You can also go to bootcamp.navy.mil and you can go to the dropndown menu and click on recruit. It will give you pdf forms for what to bring and what not to bring along with what phoenixmom already has linked. I would link it but I’m not very tech savvy! Making a Sailor videos is a must watch!
