While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

All Hands Magazine's full length documentary "Making a Sailor": This video follows four recruits through Boot Camp in the spring of 2018 who were assigned to DIV 229, an integrated division, which had PIR on 05/25/2018.
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video:"Importance of Navy OPSEC."
**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).
**UPDATE 8/25/2022 - MASK MANDATE IS LIFTED. Vaccinations still required.
**UPDATE 11/10/22 PIR - Vaccinations no longer required.

Hey Mamabear - so good to hear from you. I am so happy for you that you were able to have your kids home for a bit, I know that was a long awaited for leave.
I wanted to invite you to the new group that I started Beyond BC it is really just an extension of the BC Moms group, but a more private place for those of us who now have sailors to hang out, visit and share what is going on.
I see you recently joined the Moms of Daughters 2 group and I want to welcome you!! So sorry it has taken me so long to send this to you but my husband and I are traveling and I don't always get on my computer. But I'm glad you found us! We are a close, friendly, supportive group of Moms and look forward to getting to know you and your sailor. Please feel free to jump in and join our conversations on our group page. You can ask any questions you may have, talk freely about your feelings, fears or concerns, or just chat about life. We are all in different phases of our daughter’s Naval careers - from newbies to those whose daughters have been in for several years - from officer to enlisted!!! We support all our sailor girls and each other as well. Not just during the Bootcamp days but the weeks and months following, as they go off to school, first duty station, or first deployment. Let us support you when you're missing her, lend an ear when you need to vent, and celebrate with you when you want to brag!! Again, Welcome Aboard!!!!!

Mamabear Here is how you get to buckley road from midway with out tolls, but after that you need to put in the address to your hotel.
Head north 2.5 miles on Cicero Avenue toward South Keating Avenue. Enter right onto I-55 N/Stevenson Expressway and continue for 4.4 miiles. Take exit 292A to merge onto I-90/I-94 West continue for 11 miles. Follow I-94 W 13 miles to US-41 North/Skokie Highway. Follow US-41 N 13 miles and take left onto IL-137/Buckley Rd for .8 miles.
Mamabear they do have a face book page also, Well I am glad that you are able to find what you can, I don't want you to overstress your self whatever I can find I will post your way.

I do believe they will pick your daughter up at the airport, she will get instructions before she leaves, and I am sure she will not be the only one. They will not send her not knowing what to do. she will be fine, I can imagine the feeling you have because it is all new. and I am sure she will call and let you know that she is ok.
