I’m afraid to book any hotels or airfare. Any recommendations or suggestions??? Is anyone else going thru the same process????

Thank you in advance.

Ok i will, thank you!

  • Hi, is it pissible to not recieve phone calls yet its more than 3 weeks now, thank yoy!

Calls are totally up to the RDC and the "I'm still alive!" calls usually come around calendar week 3 or 4, but in some cases later.

Hi @ lemonelephant, thank you! But ots like im just worried since i thought im gonna expect a call right away on his 3rd week but its more then that now.. is this normal?

By the way do i have to send phone cards so that he can make a call? Or even without phone cards he can?

There is no set number of calls and no set date for calls. He probably has bought a phone card by now.

See the info I previously left on your My Page about calls.

Hi, good day i have a question regarding you said he probably bought a phone card at NEX? But how if they dont have anything with them or even money to buy? Just wondering. Any suggestion if i will send a phone card? What kind?

thank you!

He has a NEX card that he can use to buy the things he needs while at RTC and he knows that he needs a phone card. See When Will the Recruits be Paid? and Information for Spouses and Phone Cards and Phone Calls.

Michelle - if you received the form letter stating his PIR is 11/27/19 then you can make your reservations.  You might want to use Southwest as they allow changes at no charge (you would only pay the difference in airfare, if any,  but no penalty) or consider getting insurance.

Our daughters PIR is Nov 27th & we did receive a call on Saturday. Not sure how it all works when they get to call. Best of luck that you receive a call or letter.
