OCS - how long does it take to hear if a commission has been granted?

Hi all,

This question would be for those who already have someone at OCS.  How long after the officer application is complete & where it needs to be does it take to hear back whether a commission has been granted?  My son's officer recruiter said he received confirmation that his application for SWO was received by the board or in cue for review by the board on Feb 7th so it's been 2 weeks now.  Is there an average wait time?  Thanks!

Thanks for the reply Mary.  We were told that his packet would be reviewed by the Feb board. He had to have his packet to his officer recruiter by Jan 16th & then the text from his OR on Feb 7th was that my son's packet was confirmed received wherever it was supposed to be for the Feb 10th board. His OR told us we should hear mid-Feb so we're going a bit stir crazy waiting to hear. :)
