OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hang in there mama! He is fine. The mail can sometimes take a while. Your form letter could be delayed as it is usually about 4 weeks from arrival that you receive it. The earliest phone calls will come in in about 5-6 weeks and those are not guaranteed.
However, he is safe. He is there. If there was anything wrong he would have called you. Just write him and reassure him you love and miss him. In your first letter tell him you were waiting for his address. I would suggest only ONCE to use Sandboxx (once you get his address) so your first letter gets to him a few days quicker only because if it truly has been 6 weeks since he left you only have one more week in which you can send letters to him. BUT you have to be careful what you write as your letter in that app is public.

Prayingmom2boys, I will also hold your son up in prayer. This seperation is really hard and Covid is making it much worse. We are all here for you. There are alot of Moms that have gone really long BC, please come to the main page do they can reach out to you. Prayers for your aching heart.

Good morning Prayingmom2boys - I’m so sorry that your heart is aching with all of this silence. Your son has had two quarantines? Am I understanding that correctly?
I finally got a call 28 days after my son arrived but there isn’t a typical timeline to get a call these days. My son also had a second ROM after 5 weeks of Boot Camp and called two days after to tell us his new division address. When we got our phone call (28 day mark) he said “We all had to work really hard for this phone call”. So you never know what is going on with his division to earn or not to earn one. Hopefully you hear something very soon. Another mom on here, if I remember correctly, didn’t get a call until the end because his division was constantly getting into trouble. Can you imagine them not getting it through their heads the first time they got reamed?!
So I pray that you hear something sooner than later. I hope you come and join us on the boot camp mom page because there’s a lot of ladies on there who have had the same experience. You can vent anytime :) These women were/are a great support system throughout my journey and I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

Good Morning, I also left you a comment on your my page. I know it's hard not hearing anything. Keeping busy is key. Continue writing your letters as they love to receive them and it helps you as well. Also, remember the no news is good news and if something has/had happened you will get a phone call letting you know.
We are here for you and don't hesitate to reach out to the other moms that have experienced this during COVID.

Hello,
This is killing me too! I finally heard from my daughter at 5.5 weeks (8 weeks due to quarantine). The call said payphone on caller id. Make sure to pick every call up. I am hoping Covid stays away but I have heard there are some who have tested positive. I am holding all the recruits up in prayer.
