While my son isn't scheduled to graduate for several weeks, I want to get a head start on gifts.  I'd like to find a keepsake box for cuff links, medals, and ribbons, but I'm having trouble finding an organized box that is made in America.  Also, any other gift ideas and general graduation information will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance!

Congrats to you and you son!  Mine commissioned in May of '18 and I started a discussion on gifts.  You can find all the replies a couple of pages back.  I got him an Ensign Box. It had the Navy Seal and Code on it as well as his name.

Good luck!

Like you I spent quite a bit of time this morning going through old posts.  I saw yours and love the idea of an Ensign Box.  I've searched the internet and have come up empty for a wood Ensign Box with trays and a Navy seal.  If you remember where your purchased yours I would very much appreciate a link.  I think you mentioned Medals of America in your post.  I checked there this morning and did not find one.  Thank you!

Sewmom:  I ordered my son an engraved oak "Ensign box" several years ago from The Good Wood Store online. ---->  https://thegoodwoodstore.com/military-medal-keepsake-box/    I had the Navy logo and his date of OCS graduation engraved on it.  My son still uses it to store all his medals, ribbons, and pins when he takes them off a uniform for cleaning.  If you search Google for "military keepsake boxes"  you will find several other options.  Here's another less formal, more "rustic" looking box at Relic Wood.com --->   https://relicwood.com/product/custom-military-keepsake-box/

Another OSC graduation gift that we got our son was a large, nice luggage-style garment bag, the kind that you put suits or long dresses into, and then it folds over in half and buckles.  We took it to his graduation ceremony so he could put all of his uniforms in it for the flight home.  There is no way they can get all of their uniforms, boots, hats and gear in the sea bag they are issued.  Most of the families have to go to the local Walmart or the Base Exchange to buy more luggage for the trip home from OCS, so we went prepared, and our son still uses that bag when he travels.

In my searching I found this Ensign Box:  https://www.danburymint.com/gifts-by-theme/military-recognition/the... However, I really like the one you sent from The Good Wood Store.  I was also planning to get a nice garment bag. Thank you for the ideas and the links!
