For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Process to PACT
Hello, I am newbie here, My son has signed 3 yr contract for PACT and will be leaving for BC next month. After which we were told he will attend another 3-4 week training and then will be in on-job-training for the area he is interested in (IT). Reading about PACT I am confused with the part - when he joins the Ship, he will be asked for the area of interest and then will be placed in that area for 1 yr training. In this case his area of interest is IT - will he placed in IT training upon joining the ship and relaying his area of interest. Is that the way this works?

Maya - I don't have much info for you on PACT but I'll give you the links to some of the groups. They aren't real active but you can scroll through them and maybe you'll find some answers to your questions. Also, sometimes when you start posting in a group it will get others to post too. Good luck!
