OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello please say a prayer for my son, he got waivers for blood pressure at Meps and now they RCU him for the same thing. He does not have high blood pressure, he gets nervous when either meps would check it but not at drs office or home, we ran blood tests on him EKG test, all fine! He mentioned white coat syndrome because i mentioned it to him and now they want him to see the chaplain. I did get to talk to him and tell him to go back to medic and say he does not have white coat syndrome he heard that from me and i am not a dr or nurse. Hopefully they will accept that. I dont know why i even said that! I cant believe something like that. But he arrived at RCU today, blood pressure went down but now theyre doing more tests. Please keep him in prayers.

White coat syndrom is basically being anxious when seeing drs. They are saying oh so its anxiety, my son does not have anxiety! has never been to dr or ward or had any mental issues ever. He is calm as calm can be and patient. He is the most rounded person i know. I hope they see that he is fine at least on that end. He said hes going to keep fighting to stay in training! hopefully they see that he does not have any of those things.

Yvette - yes, white coat syndrome is a thing - my mom gets it when she has to go to the doctor, but she is fine otherwise! Hopefully they understand this and that it is NOT anxiety. Unfortunately they frown upon anxiety. Hopefully he can try some breathing techniques and visualization techniques to help himself remain calm and relaxed. He can get through this! Stay positive.

They’ve been checking blood pressure everyday now and it’s been normal 112/75 iye clear he doesn’t have high blood pressure and he’s not anxious anymore. They flagged him with he first got there I mean it was his first week first few days of course he was going to be nervous, they gave him shots kept him up 2 days etc etc he had just got there, but like he said I’m not nervous anymore, I’m used to being here, I just want to start training. He sees the chaplain tomorrow and hopefully things are better he said they told him he has to see counselor, I don’t know if this is protocol for those in RCU but he said he’s going to work out in there and keep telling them he’s fine doesn’t have anything. Please keep him in prayers he doesn’t want to leave

I have had beautiful blood pressure for my whole life, but 4 years ago I had an issue where I couldn't catch my breath and my heart was racing. They did a whole bunch of testing... Now I have High Blood pressure at the Dr's office but if they start the test and cycle it from outside the room... it's perfect! I also test at home twice a day for the 2 weeks leading up to any appointment and it's great then too. White Coat is a real thing but it should not disqualify him. I am so sorry that he's having to deal with this now though!! For sure I will be praying that you get word soon that he's moving on with his training!!
