Hi Moms, PIR is over and it was as fabulous as everyone said it would be! Dropped our new Sailor son off at his new home in GL yesterday afternoon and today he reports to Indoc for five days from 7 am - 5 pm. I believe they told him after two weeks he would be moving again. I suspect he was lonely last night...only had one roommate vs. 75 + !!!

Looking forward to going thru this next stage of their lives with you. Our son will be in GL for 30 weeks, he is in AE/CF program.

What is your son or daughter doing now? Where are they at for school?

I love learning all this stuff! And apparently much of it goes back years and years ago. Tradition!!!
I too love these old traditions they have ........most are in jest :)
I was watching the pollywog/shellback last night on carrier and just laughed and laughed !
6 flags opened on the 26th, jasmine said alot of the sailors were going their, and i did see groups of guys, that she pointed out they were all going to 6 flags together(i'm guessing they didn't have family that weekend)
Six Flags have been over ridden by IRONMAN - our son had duty yesterday and called me at 7am this morning - wanting to know if I was STILL on the computer and could I look up the movie times for Gurnee!
What are IRONMAN ? Colton is suppose to go today with a bunch of friends to Six Flags ? Hope IRONMAN arnt mean ? LOL but I really dont know what they are..... other then body builders maybe ? and that would be yukky
Girl...clearly you are not up on your new movie releases!! But I think it falls into a super hero type movie. We seen 88 Minutes last week with Al Pacino (awesome, on the edge of your seat movie) and they showed the previews of IronMan - apparently everyone younger than me knows what it is!!!
Six Flags actually opened last Saturday the 26th. They weren't that busy either, would have been a great time to go...
Although some of our guys got a break last weekend from BC - I think they are ready to go have some real fun. Six Flags here they come!
Is that what THOSE snipes do to our Twidgetts?!!!!!!
Keep your Twidgett safe from the Snipe hunt :)
Yep - don't let them get near with a sack:)!
Of course I am sure the Seal would eat us all alive !!
