Hi Moms, PIR is over and it was as fabulous as everyone said it would be! Dropped our new Sailor son off at his new home in GL yesterday afternoon and today he reports to Indoc for five days from 7 am - 5 pm. I believe they told him after two weeks he would be moving again. I suspect he was lonely last night...only had one roommate vs. 75 + !!!

Looking forward to going thru this next stage of their lives with you. Our son will be in GL for 30 weeks, he is in AE/CF program.

What is your son or daughter doing now? Where are they at for school?

It has been a life saver for me. I put on 40 pounds when i quit smoking 11 years ago. It took me 9months to loose it on weight watchers. Now i am trying to maintain that loss.Four of my friends have also done well on the plan. It is really pretty easy. the only exercise I get is ballroom dance lessons twice a week. You can splurge once in a while.
I had 2 major surgerys in 3 years and I put on 50 lbs because of it..........now I have been back to work for 1 year and have not lost a bit :( I have to do something........... really thinking the weight watchers program may work. Once I hit 43 it doesnt seem to come off as easily as it once did.
Well at least you have a cause, unlike me who has just been less active and still keeps eating the same or more! What do you think about starting a group to share diet/exercise tips? I may need someone to hold me accountable:)!
We could try .............. I believe anything could help =)
Are you ladies trying to take all the fun out of this site?!!! lol
I have no discipline and my pant size is reflecting that lately! I know if we want to put our heads together and do a forum on this site, we could make it work. Lots of knowledge here and Navy Moms are unstoppable!

Question is...are we ready?
That really is the question ...............
I say we decide on a certain number we would like to loose, we make that goal and then do a N4M cruise as a reward :)
Im so ready for a vacation.
I still say that if I could hook the computer power to the treadmill I'd be back in my smaller pant size!
Yes since N4M's I think my fingers have at least lost some weight, as mych typing as I do.
You have the right spirit ladies. When I started ww I was just tagging along with a friend. Not really convinced it would work for me, but I was wrong. I know you N4M can do anything you set your mind to.
I want in! I turned 45, moved to Texas from CA where all we eat is beef and fried foods 3 times a day! Needless to say I'm no longer the size 4 I arrived in, and in fact farther away than I want to admit. My fingers may have some muscle mass from all the typing I do, but my eyes have gone from bifocals to trifocals! So what's the plan.
I had back surgery and gained weight. I lost 25 lbs so far this year, but I am stuck. I did use weight watchers.
Molly, I know what you mean. I am 49. I used to be able to eat anything I wanted but not anymore. But the great thing about WW is you are still eating real foods. and any thing you want only you count the points. I eat more now than I did a few years ago, I just make better choices and measure out amounts. It is really easy.
