Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi. I think I saw the ad in a magazine. My son originally told us he was thinking about the Navy before he finished his junior year of high school. Not having any military influence in either side of our family we tended to think this was one more of his three-week indulgences. Although, he kept at it so I did what I always do being an information junkie; I inundated him with information. I piled on as much Navy minutiae as I could. In the process I found this wonderful site. He never let up. He graduates in June and boot camp is September. I'm looking forward to having this community for support.

I took my son to his final dentist visit under 'my' watch before leaving for BC. The first magazine I opened (sorry, don't remember which one) had the NavyforMoms.com ad on the inside of the front cover! Talk about karma! I went home, got on the PC and enlisted on here that day! Thanks for this great community!

I'd heard of a "Navy Mothers" organization. But, when I queried Google, I typed in "Navy moms." This site was first or second... can't remember. I browsed this site for an hour, then joined.

Google! Just was searching for Navy Wives, Navy, Basic Training, RTC, I am not sure which one I searched when I found Navy4Moms, but I know it was via Google. :) I love reading, and reading, and reading! Helps me better prepare myself for when my hubby leaves for the RTC @ Great Lakes.

Greetings from NWOhio! I'm a new join-ee to the site and interestingly enough, I was having Mother's Day Breakfast last Sunday with my daughter, wearing my "I'm a Navy Mom" t-shirt because my eldest son is stationed outside of Seattle in Silverdale and couldnt be with us in person. A lady sitting across from us came over to our table and excused herself for interrupting and asked if my daughter was the 'sailor'-of -my-shirt to which I replied that she wasn't - it was my son. She then made idle chit-chat for a few minutes and wondered if I had ever heard of this site. She gave me the www and I logged on yesterday. I look forward to getting familiar with posting as I am a bit computerally-challenged.
