Any idea what day and time you were planning this? I'd love to come if I'm available. Let me know.
I asked Sarah to pick the day because she needs enough time to get the day off. I was thinking we could meet for a early lunch and then go off to the garden.
What do you thinK?
I work 7-3 Mon-Fri so it would have to be a weekend for me. Next weekend is full for me but anytime after that would be great according to my current calendar. Let me know. :O)
Hi
Just learned about his site and would enjoy meeting some other Navy Moms. I live in Rockford and have never been to the gardens. So I cannot offer any information about it. I like the idea of meeting up first and eating, then visiting the gardens That way we all can have time to get know each other. Will check back later. Good Evening T:)
Just saw this as I have too busy to jump on. I am in if I can make it. Is it still in the works?
Hi all! I'm new to this site and Brand New to this group. Did this event happen already? If not did you set a date or if so, have you decided to do another? Thanks!
Souinds great. Let me know when you set a date and time.
I'm thinking June 20th to meet in Rockford would you all like lunch or the garden first...........or we can eat at the garden?
Hi ladies,
I have not been on for awhile. My mother had a severe Verticgo attack in April and then a small stroke on June 2nd. She is home and doing better. Her out patient therapy has started too. So all will turn out fine. ( My family lives with her and I am her care taker) I would so love to meet and talk with you. But at this time, I cannot. The reason I am sharing - getting to meet up with some Navy Moms - other Moms that know that absent feeling of their sailor - would be so healing. I would want to talk and talk and share pictures and get hugs. So if this wonderful meeting happens - please write about it. In an earlier messsage - I did suggest meeting for lunch first. So you could relax - sit - eat - and get to know each other. Then all could drive to the Gardens after. Or maybe you might just sit there and talk about your sailors. East State Street has several places - Olive Garden, Apple B's, Texas Raod House - Tumble Weed - Cracker Barrel ( this place is close to the Show Place 16). Hope it works out ladies. Please share. T-Lynn
Hi Ladies,
So hoping you all will get to meet up! Last night, my other son was home, so I and my husband were able to get out to Banres and Noble. ( Someone home with Mom ) Found a book to send to my son in Sesabo - The Link. And naturally a piece of cheese cake! But right next to Banres and Noble (CherryVale Mall) is a new little eatery - called Camiilles. My husband and I have always like small places to eat. ANd I walked in to get a take out menu. It was nice looking - and the food freshly made - wraps- soups - salads , etc. And a desert case that looked great. I didn't know if you all had found a place yet and just wanted to help give suggestions to have a place to eat and meet. It has a website; www.camillescafe.com. Good Luck in getting together and plaese share if you do. T-Lynn
Have you had and meet and greets yet up north? would love to see pix.
No we haven't but we need to get one this ...ok I'm ready to meet in Rockford
