For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

UN-believable ...What is wrong with the Military Mail
My sisters package was returned to her yesterday with "unknown address. The ONLY thing wrong was the last number in the zip. Our PO assured me that the packages would arrive.. Mine hasn't been returned yet. I wonder where it is?
I just found out I mailed my sons computer to the wrong apo,ae zip code. Does anyone know what will happen or what I/'he can do? I sent to 09355 should have been 09354. He is so angry at me. Just what I need.

I double checked about this with my husband who is a retired sailor and now a Postmaster with the USPS. For it to be returned you need to mark on the customs sheet for it to be returned otherwise it will be as abandonded. Also insurance is important as well. The APO zip codes are not as much like the city zip codes. The numbers are really important. Go overseas packages can take a bit longer also because they would go on space available as well. I hope that it all works out well. I hope we all learn to make sure we have everything correct when we mail something not just in the US stateside but overseas as well. Good luck.

Thanks Denise. I did check the box return to sender. A friend of mine works on Priorty mail here and she's looking into it for me. The tracking info says nothing since I left it at the po on the 16th. I can't figure out why 2 pkgs mailed the same day and only one came back. Funny thing it only took 2 weeks to go over and back. Now that was fast.

I wish you good luck with this. It is a lesson for us all about what we mail domestic or not make sure we have everything correct. Sorry you are having to go through this frustration. Hopefully your son will be understanding that you sent it but the package is having a fun journey. the stories that package could tell. Keep postivie about it. It will all come out right.

Hey Denise.....he got it! there is a God. Now he's happy as a clam. He's having a late Easter too, everything was still intact with it's extra long journey... :)
