Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

This is an attempt to upload the e-mail Nancy received. I tried to create a movie of the slides because there were so many of them. Hopefully it works. It asks for compassion when dealing with those who have served time in the war zone.

That was AWESOME! Wow, words escape me. Thank you.
Just so everyone can get the meaning of the last picture. There is a caption that is missing, it says, " The only thing harder than being a soldier------------picture-------is loving one"
Nancy, I am sorry I missed that. It would have been easy to add. I didn't think it made as much sense but my eyes aren't the best right now ... complications from cataract surgery. It's always good to have an excuse ... an I'm sticking to it as DH says. Thanks for adding this.
Hello Dori,
Hope you are doing well. For some unknown reason to me I am not able to open the attachments. Do you have any suggestions...I am no computer wiz...lol Karen C. ;D
Karen, Do you have the Quicktime player? It is a free download from

I have a Mac and can't create Media Player movies ... at least yet.

If you still can't get it to work, I will forward the e-mail to you if you send me a PM with your private e-mail. You will need to add me as a friend. Dori
Dori, I've tried 3 times to install the quick time thing and it never takes. could you email me this? do you still have my email address?
Will do and yes, I have a special folder for your e-mails. Hopefully before the summer is out, I can make a few pillowcases!
I have a special folder for Navy Moms too! I'm hoping to make some pillow cases but just can't commit at this moment. We work for ourselves and things are swamped right now so when it calms down I'll try to fit that in.
I'm not able to open the attachment.I have no glue why. have a nice weekend, Karin
Karin, if you have Quicktime player installed, I don't know why you are having a problem. Sue had a problem installing Quicktime player so I sent it to her private e-mail address. If you make me a friend and PM me your private address, I will be glad to forward the original e-mail to you. Dori
