July 18th sounds nice!
With that being next month - I can possible get someone to be with my Mother :) and hopefully, my mother will be so much better too! Didn't mean to sound selffish here, just want to meet some other Navy Moms.
Ideas: meet for lunch only? meet -eat - sight see? Sorry, I have never been to the Gardens. Let's make this happen. T-Lynn
Jeannie, T-Lynn, Lauren, JulieR, Barb T and Sarah,
Well it looks as if the date is July 18th. Has anyone made a decision about this? I am able to go if I don't do something else, but I need to know by this Saturday so I can make plans. Is anyone the co-ordinator for this? Rockford is only 45 minutes from me and I'd love to be able to go and meet you.... let me know if there is anything that I can do to facilitate this meeting.
carols kitchen what part of the state do you live in?
sorry I can't come--I'm down by St. Louis. You can make this an EVENT and then send a note from that event page to both ILLINOIS N4M page and your friends.
Jeannie,
I'm in un-incorporated West Chicago, so just a little North East of you!
What time are we meeting? and where?
Thanks! I can't wait!!
Hi Ladies,
Sorry, I didnt' receive any messages that site was active. I had some problems with the Navy for Moms site. It would send messages form the three groups, but I was not allowed to send any messages- it would say I have to be a member first. Finally after a three weeks I have ALL sites up and working for me and now only one home page. I did have two!. And I just didn't think to look here for any activitiy. As you can check my last comment was on June 19th. But too, I am not the one coordinating this hopeful meet. I did send suggestions. Like meeting for along lunch and talking - sharing pictures - hugs. I beleive I can get someone to be with my mom ( she had a small stroke on June 2) So lets try.
Date: the 18th
Time : 11:30 AM
Where: ?
Olive Gardern East State Street -
Red Robin located on the corner of Esat State Street and Perryville Road -
Granite City - located in the new area of Cherry Vale Mall ( main intersection of Perryville Road and Harrison Avenue )

even teh food court in Cherry Vale Male!
Sorry ladies - the reason I did not finish - I had a gremlin in the computer again. And it would not let me finsih the last message. Anyway - there are some ideas. Lets try - send a message that you want to meet and where. I will do my best to make us a reservation and I know - all going dutch. So I will make the place where we eat aware of individual orders - Olive Garden gets fuzzy if you do not say that in the beginning. But if the Japanese Garden date is set - someone let us know! I'll check on this site later this afternoon and evening. I hope the gremlin in my computer is gone. T-Lynn
I'm in too. July 18th 11:00 Olive Garden.
Jeanie, I'll drive if you want.. I live about 15 min from you.
Hi Ladies,
I just logged on. Ok is everyone in agreement?
Date is July 18th
Time to meet is 11:30 AM
Place is Olive Garden on East State Street, Rockford, Illinois ( west of the major intersection of East Stae Street and Perryville Road. Also, my husband said to say that Olive Garden is on the south side of East State Street If you turn north off of East State you will turn into the Target) )
How many should I reserver for ?
When I make the reservation - I will place it under my name of T-Lynn
Is this ok? And I have question too. When you look at your emails - do you receive a message that there is one waiting for you in this discussion site? The reason I ask - It did in the past, but not for the last three weeks, Will check this site later have a good evening T-Lynn
I would be interested in joining other Navy Moms for this event. Please add me to the list.
Jeannie, you mentioned you were driving and if anyone needed a ride to let you know, well since I live in Batavia as well would you mind if I caught a ride with you?
Hi Moms !!!!
Just off the phone with Olive Garden - it is confirmed!!

Rockford Meet and Greet for Navy for Moms ( any dads, wives - siblings, - welcomed too)
Date: July 18th
Time: 11:30 AM
Where: Olive Garden
6367 East State Street - Rockford, Illinois
815-399-3176

I will be there at 11 AM. The reason is that on the weekend no reseverations are taken - to make sure we get our table. ( The Manager Linda is making a note that we are coming) So if more Moms join in - we have our spot. Yes, they will give us seperate checks - no worries there . So get ready to meet - eat - share about our sailors and get hugs!!! Bring photos - anything to share about sailors. See you all soon T-Lynn :)
I am so excited! I can't wait to meet everyone!
