Molly had the GREAT idea to send some N4M love to some of our military that are "hurting".
I am going to say that July 12 is the "birthday" of this endeavor. July 13 it got named!!
"M.A.S. Special Hugs" - M.A.S. - for Molly's Adopt a Sailor!!!

From Molly: Hey Moms ---- we are having some wounded guys coming our way. Would you like to make a thread and those who would like to send a card or messages to our wounded ones.

If you know of someone in the military "hurting" and needing a "special hug" - PM me (Brenda Sue) the address and I'll post it in our "special place." I do ask that you keep us updated on the condition or change of address of anyone that has a lingering need.

OK - Mom's let's get this ball on the roll!!

I am going to keep these names in one place - so people don't have to read through hundreds of pages to find them. Go to MAS We Ship Love (Click Here) for the addresses. This is a private group - just ask to be a member and after you have been "checked out" - the powers that be accept you!

Please use the labels designed in the "Shipping Labels" discussion so they will be easily recognized!!

You can either print these on stickers or just tape them to the envelopes. If neither is possible, just write Molly's Adopt a Sailor on the envelope - so they know where they are coming from.

Brenda Sue, do you know if Michael Sheppard has a direct address in VA? I want to mail a pillowcase, but it doesn't make sense to mail to mom and then have her forward. Can you help on this?

I did look thru her pages a bit, but didn't see anything. I am mailing to Chris ( my son serves on the LIncoln when his squadron is there and that's the ship I did tiger cruise on) and Colton today. I did Ross already. I will do Damien and Douglas soon.
Sue, we don't have an address for Michael. I think he is about to be moved in the next couple of weeks. I would just hang on to that pillowcase and wait to see if we can a more current address for him!!
I bet he would LOVE one though!!
Message Dated July 30 in California group:
Good morning, last week a young corpsman who works with my son down in 29 Palms was injured in a very serious car accident on his way back from the Phoenix area. He is now in the Desert Regional Medical Center in critical condition with injuries to his C 5 and C 6 area. His name is Chris, but everyone calls him Kujo. He was my sons roommate on their last deployment. Kujo will finally be having surgery today to place his head in the halo. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. If you are a member of facebook you can go to the following link and view the families updates: http://www.facebook.com/GetWellKujo Thanks for your thoughts and prayers
Will send card this afternoon!!! Thanks!
As soon as I go back to work tomorrow I will get Chris a card in the mail.
I mailed Chris Tamyan and Colton a pillowcase today. These are hard letters to write-as you all know. I will work my way thru the list.

And Brenda Sue, I will wait on Michael. thanks for the advice. Now that I am home, I can watch this better.
Sending Chris / Ross and Susan a little something tommarrow :) Hey Susan I need your address darling ---LOL LOL
Does anyone know how many patients are in Ross' unit. I'm sending out a few extra cards today and was just wondering.
The census in the spinal cord unit was about 30 last week... That is older and younger patients from all services!
