My son is Tanner Savage, I believe his bunk mate is SR Lemmons. His first bunk mate was Solammi. He has a great appreciation for his bunk mates as they make things bearable. Are there any moms out there with this ship and division? Tanner called this past Wednesday his first call since he arrived. He said it is far more difficult than he ever imagined. He passed his first PT test and first written (50 question) test. Lots of pressure and no time to study. I am thankful he has remained focused on getting through it. He says the letters from family and friends keeps him going as that is really all there is to look forward to each day. I miss him.

Lesa and Tanner's mom: We are planning to go to Flannigan's. Are you guys going to eat there?

I will be waiting on pins and needles on Friday for our call. Thank goodness I have running to get rid of my nervous energy.
Hey Golden Emily - I can't wait. All of this is getting so exciting - the thrill of anticipation. What a big let down it will be when all of kids are on their way to school after boot camp. It has been so exciting getting on line every day for the last 7 weeks. Even if I don't write I still like to read all of the messages. I am not sure where we will be eating I will be with my parents so not sure what they will do for dinner. Do you think 7:00 is a good time to get there or should it be earlier???? I know alot of people will still be arriving all hours of the day and night. I hope I don't miss my sailor call - I have to work and I am not suppose to take my phone when I am with clients - but oh well I am going to on Friday - I think they only get one call and that is it. Loooking forward to next week. Lesa
Lesa and Tanner's Mom: I hope all the recruits from Division 344 and 345 got a good night's sleep. This will be a long night for them. I hope they let them sleep afterwards. Of course, being excited they probably stay awake (like on Christmas morning).
I hopen so too, Tanner's girlfriend just received a very short letter today and Tanner has the flu..he has not gone to the medic as he said they would hold him back and he couldnt' graduate with his division that his PIR date would be delayed. He is very stressed because he said there were more inspections and another test and he was not prepared due to being sick. I feel terrible for him....he wrote the letter on Sunday and said that he was getting sick every hour.....I know how much he loves his team and would not want to let them down. Say your prayers....
I wonder if they are in the same boat! Say it isn't so.
I will be thinking of Tanner tonight too. I pray that we both get the call tomorrow so our fears will be over.
OH! I am so sorry for Tanner. I am sure he is really worn down. I have my fingers crossed for him. I know he can do it. They just have to pass. My brother stated every time they went out to sea everyone got really sick. You bring all the different germs together into one small space and every one gets sick. Hope you get your sailor call tomorrow. Thinking of you. Hugs.
Lesa and Tanner's Mom: I am afraid that he will forget to call me at work. I work for my dad, so I know that I can receive that call. I will let you guys know if/when I get a call.
Ditto on all - I can't wait until we get the call. - I am hoping they all passed the big test so they could do battle stations . Brad said they had to pass a test and they got one time to get it correct --!!!! Hopefully it is just a scare tatic to make sure all are on their game. Best of Luck today and tomorrow.
Hey Golden Emily, we will be there! I know, I can't wait to get that phone call!!!
Lesa and Golden Emily, I replied to an above post of Golden Emily's...I was not paying attention ....Please read as Tanner has the flu......:(
Did you guys get a call tonight? We got one, but it was not from B. J. I am wondering if it is was for security clearance. We are so close to graduation! I am freaking out right now! Of course, the gentleman who called said he would call back, but he never did.
