Laurie, Your son left the day before mine, so I think this will probably be my son's. Hopefully I will hear from his recruiter early next week.
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.
Kathleen
This division is all male, so we can safely use the term sons (unless we hear of a spouse or fiancée in our midst)!

This is one of the groups that got to call home on Thanksgiving.

According to my son, our form letters were written on the 25th. Let us hope they were mailed the same day!
Fed Ex just delivered our box. No surprises in it. . . except the rolled up jeans. I asked my son about that and he said it was the first thing they were ordered to do. He didn't think it had anything to do with the shoe-sizing machine, maybe just a test of instant obedience.
Hi, my son Brett is ship 10 div 067 too! I too wondered about the rolled up jeans but we didn't get the box till Friday so no chance to ask - thank you for clarifying that for me. It's good to hear from another Mom with a son in the same div and ship as mine and I'm so glad to know there is no more grad and go.
Char...tell me about your son. Mine is old...27 and will be going to A school in Pensacola. We were so lucky that out kids got to call home on Thanksgiving, what a nice treat! Any letter yet?
Just got confirmation from my son's recruiter that he is on Ship 10 (USS Enterprise) Division 067. I'm excited to meet all of you and can't wait to share more stories.
Hey Ship 10, Div 067 Family...has anyone received their "official" letter yet?????? There doesn't seem to be too many of us out there, but we need to stick together! GO Team!!
No, we haven't yet. During the Thanksgiving call our son told us they had addressed those letters on the day before (but who knows when they got mailed) and that they would not be allowed time to write until December 6th. So, the wait goes on.
UGH!!!! Somehow in my little head, I had today as the day, but no luck. I guess we can all cross our fingers for tomorrow. I have already booked the Ramada because I heard from another family that they book up quickly. They were very nice and have an up until the day of your reservation by 4:00 pm cancellation policy. Still checking flights...have you researched any of this yet?
Hi mhill

My grandson is also Ship 10 div 067. My daughter has not received their official letter yet. My grandson turned 22 on the 15 of Nov. and left for boot camp on the 23 of Nov. Glad to meet someone that has a loved one in same div. We live in Ohio, Where are you from? Navygranny
Hi, Navygranny. I tried to respond to you via my cell phone last night, but it wouldn't go through. We live in California, about 30 north of LA. My son is old guy...27 and also left on the 23rd. No mail yet, still waiting. As for the PIR info...it is a guess. Based on what the other division numbers are and their dates are I made a calculated guess that it would be the 29th. Also, you can look at this website...our kids aren't posted yet, but they should be next.

Nice meeting you and we'll chat soon. By the way, my name is Michele.
Hi Michele,

Sorry about that, guess I was going by the picture, must be your son. Thanks for the info. Go Navy!
