Our “Holiday Sailors” and More!
I have the HONOR of anouncing...........Our Holiday GROUP

During the Holiday Season this year we have received a “special warm request” from a group of Seabees-YES, I said Seabees, in Afghanistan! The request came from the Battalion Chaplain of NMCB 74. The Chaplain says that they have Seabees in several locations around Afghanistan. He is hoping to do two things this Christmas-geez..Only 2, we can do MORE!

1) Have a smore roast by a campfire-singing Christmas carols and sharing Christmas stories of HOME.

2) He would like to have stockings to hand to his troops.
Moms, we want to send all the “warmth” and “Love” of Christmas to all 250 SEABEES

Now moms, are your hearts melting YET? Well, let’s get busy!
However, before you dash out the door, hear this!
We have had “some” VERY busy elf’s here!
Knit for the Navy Group has been busy knitting away at scarves
Heads at Ease has been busy sewing away at stockings.
A HUGE Thank You to "Lyn Love" who coordinated all our “crafty” Navy Moms!

We are looking for the "Warmth and L♥ve" that comes from “HOME” at Christmas time!
So think WARM, IT BRRRRRRRRRRR freezing in Afghanistan.
So think Stockings, we have to stuff all those stockings!
Think WARM, lets keep our Sailors warm and toasty!

I would also like to give a shout out to “UNO’s Grille” in Kissimmee Florida-UNO’s is accepting donations for Molly’s Adopt a Sailor and in return they are giving out a coupon for a FREE appetizer! Boy, where does it end! We have such an outpouring of support from all over! It’s NOT over yet!
Let’s hear it for our Central Illinois’ Moms who on their own is taking on another special group of 60 in Iraq this holiday season! The love never ENDS!!!!!

As Always, Please use our Molly’s Adopt a Sailor Labels on all items! Mailing Dates on November 27-December 5th, so let's start the HOLIDAY PARTY

I have one last think I would like to add!
I am a mom of a sailor aboard USS Rodney M. Davis, which was adopted last holiday season by Molly’s Adopt a Sailor. I could NEVER begin to explain how I felt knowing that my son’s ship was receiving all the love that Molly’s Moms have and MORE. The day the BAGS of mail arrived aboard the Davis my son just so happen to be there with our “contact” CMC Smith! Well let’s just say, Cannot repeat what came out of the CMC’s mouth! Shock and Awe, should explain it! My son called me a few hours later letting me know the mail was dropped and dropped big. My son received over 15 cards that Christmas and he read them repeatedly! He said “Mom it gets pretty lonely on this small” ship; So, I am “Paying it forward” Molly’s Moms Style!

PS-thanks Molly, it was about time you let me do this! L♥VE YOU SISTA!!!!
Please USE these LABELS so that CHAPPY knows they are from US...♥

Can't wait to hear from Chappy and maybe get some pictures, too.
Diane, Just wanted to tell you thank you for all your hard work being "Molly's Mom of the Month". You did a superb job. Hope we get some pictures from chappy!!!!
No Pat not yet...Just to let you all know...Chappy and our adoptees have had their deployment extended for 2 more months....Our Chappy has been traveling and has just returned...He has promised pics and info when he gets settled back in!!!
I am so happy that we were able to send so much love to them! Hopefully their spirits have been given the 'lift' they needed to get them through the extension of their deployment!

Diane, you did such a wonderful job leading us last month! I know you were in contact with Chappy all the time finding out just what we should send! BRAVO ZULU to you!
How did the stocking go over?
They have the "stuff" but from what I understand...there is SO much it needs or chappy needs help sorting all of it..over 200 boxes...that doesn't include cards..letters etc..so stay tuned..As soon or if I hear something I will let you ALL know ♥
Bet they never imagined just how much 'love' a group of moms would send! They will have the 30 days of Christmas! So good since their deployment has been extended! Think of what awaits them in those boxes!
Does anyone ever expect what we send ???? There is nothing like a moms love --and that is what we send to them and the great thing is that they feel it. We may not have 200,000 worth of stuff to send monthly BUT what we send is worth more then any $$ amount. We send the thing money just cant buy ---and that is LOVE
You bet we do! I love that every mom here puts herself into each box with care taken in packing each box and writing each card and letter! I am so proud to be a Molly Mom!
I just got this email~~~

I want to thank you for sending me the care package that was very nice and I appreciate it a lot. I hope your son enjoys his time in service, he’ll definitely get to see and do a lot but I will also feel sad for you all when he’s on deployments for Christmas, New Years, Birthdays, and all other Holidays you all enjoy spending together. It does get to be a lot of hard work and not much time for yourself on deployments and some deployments look for stuff to do to enjoy your free time. Thank You very much hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Your adopted Navy Son Matthew A. *******
Julie! Congrats on the addition of your new "bouncing baby boy"!
Wasn't that enough to melt your heart! So sweet of you to share..You will definately have another "son" in your family now! Sounds like Christmas is coming in January/February this year! Santa's little helpers are always ready!
kim ann, that's what I thought too....It's a boy!! It's a boy!! LOL

awwwww yes, when I read "your adopted Navy Son" it really did melt my heart....

I love reading all the emails we get. It just makes me so happy that Molly started this group and that we have a great bunch of moms with such BIG hearts!! I'm so glad I found MAS!!!
