Most of us have been posting discussions segregated by ship and division, but maybe we can get to know each other based on our PIR date--we will all be in Great Lakes on the same weekend.

hello pir 1-29 i am looking for extra tickets if anyone is not going to use all four. i would like 6 or 7 extra, both our families are divorced and i would hate for any feelings to get hurt. i only have enough for me and our 3 kids. 2 extra would be wonderful, so atleast his mom and dad can go. i have researched it and found out that if there is anyone who has extra tickets all they (the recruit) need is the persons name and all i need is the recruit's name, ship and div #. it sure would be appreciated.
Hi everyone,
My daugher Hannah is in Ship 10 Div 070 and her PIR is Jan 29th also. I hope we get the opportunity to meet! I have been searching for others on the same ship and division but this is much better! Thanks for starting this... I miss Hannah so bad and am waiting for that phone call. I got a letter last Thursday and it was wonderful! She says she is doing well but she had to have her wisdom teeth out and she was afraid...she's never been through anything like that alone :( But I am assuming she did ok since I didn't receive a call telling me otherwise. Other than that she was upbeat and in good spirits so I am waiting for that next letter to get an update.
Wish you all the best !
Jenny
Hi Jenny,
My son Tony is in Ship 10 Div 071 and his PIR is Jan 29th also. He also was told that he had to have his wisdom teeth out. I am wondering how this went. I am also wondering if they give them some time to recuperate and praying that this does not prolong their training at all.

Hi, Im Jodi. My son Seth is Ship 10 Div 067. I have had 3 calls and a letter. He had his wisdom teeth out also. He is on top of the world! For the first time I can have a phone conversation with my son and dont have to have him repeat things. He had alwasy been soft spoken and mumbled. I was told that this change was due to his boost in confidence. Says the best thing is hearing your name called for mail.
Just booked the Ramada in for three nights for the PIR on Jan 29!!
