My husband is in "A School" in South Carolina and I'm hoping to find out today when He can come get me and our daughter and move us up there with him.

1) My question is, would we be responsible for our apartment now if we can't find someone to sublease?. We told our landlord two weeks before he left for boot camp that we should be out by February. She just told me that i was responsible for finding someone to take over the lease and if not my husband and I would have to pay the rent until we find someone to take it over.

2) Why would she have to keep a copy of our marriage license and do we have to give it to her or just let her see it?

3) He is a nuke and he said he wasnt suppose to show anyone his orders for school but she's demanding to see those as well..
What would be the best way to handle all this and what should I do.?

I'm new at all this and with her and my daughter I'm just really overwhelmed.

Thankyou

Maddie - you need to join the "nuke school charleston" group. It is open to all, but is mainly young wives. Some of them may have encountered some of what you are, but I this does not sound right. Maybe Hoppi will put her two cents worth in. I know when my son was in prototype he and his roommates signed a year lease. There was a clause in their lease that if they got order to move they could without losing deposits (providing they left it in good condition) or having to find someone to take over their lease. Good luck to you.
Does anyone know if there is a similiar website to this for Marines? My nephew is now in BC and I would like to check out the website if there is one. Thanks in Advance.
