sure you can, get a good night sleep and worry in the morning :)
I think it was the shakey voice I heard during his I made it here phone call that did me in....lol
Mine too JnRene--My Jake was so confident about joining and filled out paperwork to go earlier than next May. Still very confident even when they called him 3 weeks before Christmas and said your leavinf Dec 15th. He knew he was physically fit as he has always worked out. He was excited and he was READY! But like yours his voice was shaky. "Yeah mom, this is alot more intense than I thought it would be. Dont worry about me though Im ok." I think it was the yelling that startled him. I think he thought it wouldnt start till day 1 of bootcamp. Little did he know Day 1 started when the bus pulled in! I was a wreck for 3 1/2 weeks till I got my blessed letters. 3 in one day. And thats all I have gotten. But in those he said he loved it and he passed his first PFA in the first couple of days so he was getting E2. So good to hear he loved it! I still miss him though. I havent gotten any calls yet and havent gotten anymore letters since those 3. Think he could be having such a GREAT time he forgets to write? lol I will hit him in the head! Its really better though thanks to all the groups of ladies I talk to on here that understand exactly what I am going through. 3 and a half more weeks and I will see him. Cant wait!

Be sure to write him every day. The mail keeps them going.

Take care

Jaime was also very confident and I'm sure quite shocked once he got there.. He said in his first letter that they call them names he's never even heard before....LOL I've only gotten one letter and just got a 2 minute phone call this past friday...I only got 2 mins because he called his gf first.....lol but he says I have two letters on the way....yippee
interesting...my son left 12/17 and his PIR is 02/19 wonder why the difference???
Not sure Jake may have had a couple of wait days after processing. I know Jake got there on a Tuesday and his bootcamp actually started the Monday after he got there, which was a week later. So Im sure that maybe they had to wait for a div to fill up to start after processing. Today is week 5 day 1 for Jake. He PIRs on 2/12. What ship and div is your son?
He is in ship07div102..had several processing weeks....
We were told they always hold Graduation on Friday's, no exception. So that might be it..??
Teresa,
We were told that sometimes if someone messes up in his group they can cost the whole group to lose writting privileges! His recruiter told me to just keep writting... keep the support coming he said!
It is so not easy for Moms!!
Good luck!
Millie
Don't panic. He's safer there than he would be anywhere else in the world right now. There's absolutely nothing to worry about, he'll be fine and so will you. During the next 8 weeks as each day passes it will get easier. Start writing letters to him so you can mail them as soon as you get his address. And do join the "Bootcamp Moms" group. Everyone there is in the same boat as you and you'll find lots of sympathy.
Thanks.....I cant wait for a letter!!
