Hi, my boyfriend is graduating next Friday (Feb. 5th). Yay! :)

But somehow, I did not get a password for the gate pass.

I believe that recruits send passwords on the first weed of training

but what I heard from my boyfriend was that he was busy with

some paperworks while others were getting graduation things.

Does anyone know if I could get in without those passes??

or, if I could get the pass on the graduation day???

Any suggestions????

I was so excited about next week

but now I'm just so worried since I realized that I needed a password. :(

I regret so much that I could not figure this out earlier... :(

Oh, and I got his letter yesterday saying that he did not order

his individual picture just because he didn't like it.

But I want it so bad no matter how he looks!

Is there any way I could order them???

Oh, Julie,
First of all, you said it's your boyfriend. Did you get the form letter or did he send it to his parents? That is where the password is.

Basically, you don't have to have a gate pass to get on the base. You could take a shuttle that drops you off outside the gate and walk on. There are some hotels that provide the shuttle. I don't know where you are staying but you could look into this. You could also park at the Metra station ($2 for all day) and walk about a block back to the gate.

OK! So now we have you on the base, but did he put your name on the access list? That is the list of people that they allow inside Freedom Hall. If you aren't on the list, you'll have to stand outside until they can figure out if there is room. But don't get discouraged--You have one final time you can talk to him! When he calls you to tell you he's a sailor, after Battle Stations, you can ask him if your name is on the access list and ask him "Is there anybody around you that is in your division? Do they remember the password for the car pass?"

Unfortunately, I don't know the answer for the photography question but I can refer you to this page: http://www1.netc.navy.mil/nstc/rtcgl/faq.asp

Have fun at graduation!
Thank you so much for your reply!

So, you need a gate pass only if you're bringing your car?
Hm.. but I AM bringing the rental car. haha.

I'll either park at the Metra station like you said or ask my boyfriend when he calls me after his BST.

He put my name on the access list for sure so I don't have to worry about getting into Freedom Hall. :)

Thank you, once again! :)
