Molly had the GREAT idea to send some N4M love to some of our military that are "hurting".
I am going to say that July 12 is the "birthday" of this endeavor. July 13 it got named!!
"M.A.S. Special Hugs" - M.A.S. - for Molly's Adopt a Sailor!!!

From Molly: Hey Moms ---- we are having some wounded guys coming our way. Would you like to make a thread and those who would like to send a card or messages to our wounded ones.

If you know of someone in the military "hurting" and needing a "special hug" - PM me (Brenda Sue) the address and I'll post it in our "special place." I do ask that you keep us updated on the condition or change of address of anyone that has a lingering need.

OK - Mom's let's get this ball on the roll!!

I am going to keep these names in one place - so people don't have to read through hundreds of pages to find them. Go to MAS We Ship Love (Click Here) for the addresses. This is a private group - just ask to be a member and after you have been "checked out" - the powers that be accept you!

Please use the labels designed in the "Shipping Labels" discussion so they will be easily recognized!!

You can either print these on stickers or just tape them to the envelopes. If neither is possible, just write Molly's Adopt a Sailor on the envelope - so they know where they are coming from.

Oh my... my card will go out on Monday morning! Thanks for brining this to our attention!
That's my "job" - and it pays much better than the one I get a paycheck for!
Got it --------- This boy needs some serious show of support and love heading his way !!!!!!
I will mail him a pillowcase next week. Know just the one-patriotic smiley faces. thanks for posting Brenda Sue!
I love it, Sue!! That would be so special! and I know this address is correct - because I got it today!
Brenda,
Thanks for posting; we're on it.
Good, I am going to add a Starbuck's card for the mom. I cannot imagine having to live in a hotel while my son was in such shape in the hospital nearby. She needs support as much as him. But I also know - that by showing support to her son - we are showing support to her.
Just got this from Julie, Adam's Mom: One our own, a Navy Mom, Christi Dodge-Guthridge lost her husband unexpectedly on Saturday. She has been an online friend of mine since July '08 when our sons were in the same division at bootcamp. This is of course a devastating blow to her and her family and she could use our support now. Please say a prayer for her and her family.
If you would like to send a card, you can send it in care of the funeral home.
I finally got the pillowcase out to Nicholas yesterday. It the patriotic smiley faces"

That is a great one!
I sent the patriotic smiley face with little eyes to Nicholas thru his mom. Got a postcard back from her today:

Sue,
thank you for the beautiful pillowcase! Nicholas likes it so much he refuses to use it while in the hospital and he doesn't want it lost or damaged. The colors and pattern are very nice.
The quality of work also is awesome. He has a few special things he has received that he has me take to the hotel to keep safe.
It says a lot that he wants your pillowcase there too!
Allyson McKensey (mom)

My friend Barb made this one.
Bringing this to the top so we remember to look for those addresses!! Anyone have updates??
