Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son's recruiter told me about this site during our first visit.
A Round Rock, TX recruiter told me about this site on our first visit. He said it would answer my questions alot better than he could. Boy was he ever right! What he didn't tell me was that I would have the most wonderful, knowledgable and experienced support group ever.
I found it on on a television commercial. The day my son left for boot camp I went on the site for the first time. That was July 8, 2009 and I check in about everyday. My son is on the USS Essex and I often share information I learn here with him.
my husband told me about this web site and I think he either saw it in a magazine or a commercial on TV
I saw it on a TV commercial and grabbed a card from the recruiters office.
Im on a forum called Proud Navy girlfriends, wives, fiancees on facebook and a girl on there gave me the link to this site.
I first found the website by seeing a bill board in the city I live. I would have thought the Recruiter would have mentioned it but he never did.
I found it on the Navy boot camp website. Love it!!!!!!!!
i saw a commercial and my son's recruiter had told us about it also
When my son said he was interested in the Navy I started researching every website I could. I knew the official website was going to be a marketing piece so I thought the parents, espeicially moms, would be a more objective source. I searched for Navy moms and checked various websites. N4Ms seemed the most organized and thorough. I learned more from this website than anyplace else AND my son has considered the information here pretty credible...one group lead to another and now I check this site before FB or personal emails each day.
by accident locked in my bedroom due to a bat in my house and me home alone - you know the rest of the crazy story!!!
I saw TV commercial for the site, but it wasn't until my husband went to a Navy conference and talked to me about it that I checked it out. My son is an NROTC Midshipman and the NROTC group has been very helpful.
