He's on his way.  Anyone else have a loved one who left today-Feb. 8?  I'm still not sure how we go about getting an address so we can write.  If you find out, please let me know

I called his recruiter and he gave it to me. It made my day and I feel so much better knowing I can at least write him a letter.
My son's recruiter had it today for me. There was one posted here from a mom who's son shipped the same day, but it turned out to not be the same for my son. Funny how your life can change so fast - it actually made my whole day because I now have an address. He doesn't feel so far away now.
My son left on Feb 8th also, got the call and it was great to hear his voice and know he was safe. The recruiter said he should have my sons add by Mon or Tues which would be a week after he left. Still no box. All I do is cry, I can't believe he's really gone. I miss him terribly.
HI Mom Mom,
My son C left the same day as your son 2/8/10 I miis C so very much, called his recrutier he said it would be next tuesday before the address would be available. I write each day a card or letter when I get the address I will mail the whole buch I have written... Hang I there the first weeks is the hardest its almost over.. Keep in touch , let me know when you get any form letter from the Navy.

Hugs to you
Ann
My son left Colorado on February 10th for Great Lakes. The phone call was very scripted. But, still it was his voice. Glad he made it ok. Lucky he had a uncle that worked the flight he left on so he had family until he boarded.
My son left Feb.9-his recruiter said he will call us with an address-but we received a letter today about graduation and it had a short note from our son on it-he is on ship 04 div 808-anyone else have a son or daughter in that group?
My fiance left the 8th also. We just got his address last night and the night before his box of clothes..how are you dealing with him gone.
Make sure somebody starts a group for your ship and division, better for you to keep in touch with each other. Also there will probably be one named PIR and the date that they graduate. You will LOVE this site! Always remember that it is up to the chiefs on how much they will get to call home. And they will use that for motivation!
The mixup came from the recruiters office. Turns out that my son's recruiter had his ship and division and then a reference sheet from someone in the office with the street address. I spoke with another recruiter two days ago and mentioned the mix up and he apologized and said he needed to update the address list. Apparently they move ships and divisions around. The website address matched the address my son sent in his form letter but everyone says all mail will get to them if the ship and div is correct. Let's see. He'll be getting so much mail that he won't notice if one or two are missing...:)
my son left feb 8 from houston havent heard any thing , no mail at all , called chicago got him in trouble but did get his address , ship 04 divh09 , nothing else lol , not woried at all any one who is talk to me , ill get you thru it
