OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

From experience, don't stay at the Ramada. It looks really nice on the website and says that they have remodeled. Maybe 15 years ago. It may be cheap, but I am afraid you will be disappointed once you get there. Do a search on here and you will see what others have said about this hotel.

Thanks for the advice! Now I don't know what to do?? I wonder if the Homewood Suites has anything left?? The last thing I want to do is be somewhere that is awful!! thanks so much. I will check on Homewood Suites tomorrow.

I just went online and booked a 1 bedroom suite for the PIR on 8/1. I will cancel my reservations at the ramada inn tomorrow. Thanks again for letting me know what a mistake I would be making. After driving 15 hrs. the last thing I need is a bad hotel!!! Thanks so much!

We stayed at the Residence inn in Waukeegan (sp?) only a couple miles from the gate and they served breakfast as well as a "light" dinner, also had full kitchen, living area $72

I probably won't change reservations but just wondering, how many beds and baths for that price?

At the Homewood suites they provide you with an awesome breakfast, and if your family can get in during the weekdays, mon - thu, they even give you a light dinner. Average one bedroom prices are running around 99/night per one bedroom. and 169-199 a night for a two bedroom. The rooms come with a bathroom for each bedroom you have, a living room with a pullout couch, and a kitchenette if your son/daughter would like a home cooked meal. The front desk provides you with basic general info on the local happenings that come in a convinient packet they hand you when you check in, and they have an indoor heated pool, basketball court and 24 hour gym. The gym is small though. I have family in the area so when i visit i come there for the free internet and convinient access to the interstate highway 94. It's also only about 10-12 miles from the base.

I found a motel 55.00 for a Queen size bed at Great Lakes Motel 3101 Buckley Rd 1 mile form the naval base 847-689-1520 I will be driving from Sc so I will be spending alot on gas.
