That is so nice. I have too .my mother and our daughter are coming with me. His parents will fly in later that weekend. So where are you staying? I am so ready for this to be over!
But I know this is just the start of things to come. I am glad you replied to the disscussion. I was beginning to wonder if I had a sailor in a div. by himself lol. I am looking forward to talking to you
Staying at Residence Inn. They offer breakfast buffet and it's less than 4miles from the base. They have a studio w/ queen bed and queen sofa sleeper, fully equipped kitchen. We got 2 rooms. Check out their site. We like all Marriott run hotels as they have a no smoking policy.
We booked homewood suites its 14 miles but it offers the same stuff with 2 room suite kitchen and living room. Where are you traveling from?
We are traveling from San Diego to Chicago Midway. Googled the direction and hopefully the weather will be good as our flight arrives at 10:30pm. Where are you coming from? Do you already know where your husband's going for A school?
We are flying from Wichita Ks to Chicago O'hare. My husband will be in CT. for A school and since it's over 20 weeks I will be able to go with him. Which is good news!
do you guys know if they are a grad and go or not? And hi Becsmom not much longer so excited!
Hi Hlwolter, My son's girlfriend got a call from him last week and he said that he's not a grad and go and has liberty until March 9. I am glad we can spend some time with him, but had I known he'll be off this long, we would have stayed until Tues. or Wednesday morning. His girlfriend has school so she needs to be back and me and my husband are booked to fly back to Missouri. Hope you're getting calls and lots of letters. We are getting excited as well.
Yes I am getting excited! I am getting lots of letters but no recent calls which I was hoping for! I am scared he is a grad and go . I have been talking to some other people on here who have a sailor in the same jod field and they are all leaving Saturday which just breaks my heart.
Just focus on PIR and then the time after that. Hope you get some good news soon about his A school schedule.
Thats what I am trying to do! I am praying we can move right away for his A school but it doesnt look like it .Thanks for the encouraging words
My boyfriend wrote and told me the division has earned their scholastic flag, drill flag, star flag (for inspections), and athletic flag! Yay for this division! He says their moral is up but now they talk all the time and get in trouble. :/
That's great news for division916. My son told me that there's a lot of talkative recruits in this division. My son told me in his letter that he's carrying a state flag during PIR and will be doing so for the 2 PIR's before theirs. 2 more weeks and we get to see them.
