Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I believe I found you through US Navy.mil... Actually Everytime you type in to check world news or anything about the Navy your link for ( Navy for mom's ) is one of the options posted to choose from.

I found the site through the automatic google search for my son's ship. Another mom that was a member had asked a question so I requested to be a member. We found out that our sons were friends so that has been great! Thanks for having this site!

When a friend found out our son was in the DEP program she contacted me as her son was also in the DEP program and told me about the site. I've been on for a year and a half now...got me through those boot camp days. Have made sooooo many good friends through this site! I guess I could have posted....word of mouth! :)

I found it by googling the navy also. My son leaves July 8th for bc. I already miss him and he hasn't even left. I am very proud of him but very sad that I won't have much contact for 8 weeks. I feel like he is entering a world that I won't be able to be a big part of and that is really scary to me cause we have never missed a game or a track meet or any event he has ever had. I have two 10 year olds at home that I think are feeling pretty left out because this is all we talk about and seems to be all I can think about.

I found out about Navy For Moms from my daughter's recruiter. When we met with him yesterday afternoon he gave me a booklet. As soon as I was able to, I got online and put in my request to join and I got an e-mail this morning stating that I was approved. Yay!!!

I googled the question of when my son's graduating date was the day he left. Navy for Moms was on a banner they had on with whatever site I ended up on. (Does that make sense?)
