My grandson arrived in Great Lakes on 2/16/10 have not heard from him and have no address.  Does anyone else have some one who arrived on that date and knows when graduation is?

His parents should have received a form letter by now and his box of clothes. His recruiter will have his address 3 to 4 days from the date that he left. You'll have to get his Ship and Division before you can find out on the Great Lakes Site when graduation will be. Good Luck to you.
Thank you for the info. Will contact his recruiter. Would like to send cards and letters.
Talked with my granddaughter, said grandson had some widsom teeth pulled after he got to GL and they have not received his "kid box". Maybe will hear something soon.
How do you get to the Great Lakes Site when you know the Ship and Division?
Thanks for any information. I have not had much response to this site.
Ann
Thanks so much for your reply. DBK left from Atlanta (2/16/10) also. I live in NC and will try to get in touch with his recruiter on Monday if I don't have an address by then. I have no idea when he actually started BC if he had dental work done. Really would like to know what his reaction is to BC. Don't know if I will get to actually attend PIR, he has sister, mother, father and step mother who will be on his 4 person list. Plan to meet family in Chicago and hopefully get to attend, or at least have a couple meals with him. I really enjoy reading all this information. As soon as I hear something I will post. Thanks again.
Val, My son received a letter from my grandson today and he must be in your son's group. His return address was not too clear. Couldn't tell if it was Ship 13, Div. 131 or 151. Can you help me with this. His PIR is April 9, said he was in an accelerated group. Does any of this sound familiar to you. He has passed all his physical and had a test in four days. The letter was written on the 28th of Feb. He was surprised he was up 45 hrs. after getting there but said it wasn't too bad because they were being processed during that time. He is up between 3 and 5 a.m. and busy until 9 p.m. Lots of attention to detail. I am so excited to hear from him. Will get some letters and cards in the mail today, as soon as I find out 131 or 151 di v. Thanks for all your help. Plan to be in GL whether I get to graduation or not. Ann
Carolyn, thank you so much. Have already made reservations at SpringHill Suites in Waukegan for my family. It is a little pricey but grandson has a brother and sister who are 6 and 8 and they adore him and will be attending graduation. Hotel had indoor pool and hot breakfast plus shuttle service. Rooms seemed to be quite spacious. Still need Graduation site. Thanks again. Ann
