OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

And yes I'm a dad, but I jpoined here as well , the more info I can gather the better I say. Good luck and God bless all "rickies"(recruits).
Welcome Hank! We are still waiting for a letter or phone call from our son. This is a great place to come for information. It helps to know that we are not the only families going through this.
It is good to hear from you Hank and welcome to the group .... me specifically, one of the whiner's in the group... ha! It is hard not getting the calls or the letters, but not so bad when other parents are in the same boat. We shall survive this, but it helps to have support. We will have smiles on at the Meet and Greet!
