Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Just rec'd an email from my LO. Flooding was not an issue at OCS. Thought I'd pass that along.

Thanks 2 in the service. I really needed to hear that. My other son is on the IKE. Not a flyer though, so he is okay. The crash they had there today just hits a little too close to home.

I wouldn't worry too much. There aren't any rivers near the base (that I saw) and the flooding I've heard about has to do with the rivers in RI. I also think it is up north, closer to Conneticut.

Glad to hear all this about the flooding, I was wondering the same thing. We're still pulling for you guys in 14-10. Time's passing...good luck for the next phase of OCS. 13-10 is getting excited, but are still very aware that things can change on a dime.

Had a call from James - he passed all of his midterms. His group is getting excited but still very much aware that anything and go wrong. They are all watching out for each other. No flooding at the base. He is Drill Body so they are practicing for unit competition is about 1/12 weeks. Reported that everyone is doing well.

Got a call from Ashley- they're picking their ship location this weekend; by the time they call tomorrow we should hear. So exciting. RLP next week (Think Tues?) in white uniforms and drill competition on Wed I think. Said DI stil yelling. He passed all three of his midterms.

Heard from James. Passed all exams! Yeah :) Still working with unit members for next week drill competition. Also another personal inspection in liberty (dress white) uniforms next week (week 8). Monday on week 9 will be final PT test. Keeping up good spirits and looking forward to being a Candio.

Hey guys, new to this site. Been following 14-10 discussions on a broader page, good info, but great to be here where many of us will meet/greet come May 7! Got excited call from our LO who passed all mid-terms. Sounded so much more grounded and not as exhausted. He's on the Hi-Moms committee, in charge of video, I think, so he's ballancing focus on what still needs to be done and the excitement for that event. Check in with you guys from time to time--and glad to be here! Bring on week 8. Keep those thoughts/prayers pouring in for this great group. Annie.

Welcome to out group, Annie. We are also on FB, just look for OCS and you should find us. It is great to have the N4M site to share info and find out what to expect for our LOs. My son in going into NUPOC and there is also a site under groups for them - have found out a lot. See you in May.
