I got to talk to my son for a brief moment yesterday. He changed out of spec ops. He was ship 4 div 812 now he is same ship div 192. He said he loves it and still trying to adapt to not much sleep. He said "I have a roof over my head, a bed to sleep in, and the food is great. Oh and he loves his chief. He seemed to be in good spirits. So if there is anyone else with SHIP 4 DIV 192 let me hear from you.

Thanks Brenda but that was for 2008. It sure was a nice try. I will be glad to get a letter from him that will help.
My son is in div 192 also. When he sent a letter it sounded like he thought everything was fine. He just wrote a short note and it looked like he didn't get finished, but it was exciting to get something.
That is great Gloria. I still haven't got a letter from my son. I miss him like crazy. I just want to know how he is liking it. His girlfriend and I keep checking the mail in hopes of a letter. Maybe this week. Glad to know there is someone else in div 192.
I finally got a letter today. YAEH!!!! It was a very short letter. He said he was doing great. I can tell he hasn't recieved any of our letters yet. His girlfriend got one yesterday and he asked her to write him. He doesn't know she has wrote everyday. It is around the third week so we should start getting a phone call.
My son is also on ship 4, Div 192. I think that he really likes it. I don't know what the Navy is telling him but his letters are amazing. Sometimes, I can't believe that this is my son talking. What was once a drifting soul with very little insight into himself and his life is transforming into a very motivated and inspired young man. He is telling me that, for the first time, he feels in control of his life and he is making very mature decisions about his future. I am SO proud of him. Navy Boot camp may be a tough place and a grind at times but it seems to have had a very positive impact on my son's life. I miss him like crazy but I know that he's doing what he wants to be doing. I can not wait for graduation in two weeks!
My husband is in ship 14 div 189 and I believe that both divisions will graduate on the same day.
