My fiance is in class 14-10. I got to talk to him for about 5 minutes last night and he's already lost his voice! They have to yell everything at the top of their lungs! I'm in the Navy also and I'm so used to being the one who leaves! I'm the one who has to tell everyone else not to worry, so its really weird being on the other side of it!

Just a shout out to all NFO parents and LO's - we've started an NFO Moms (and LO's) forum within OCS graduate moms. Stop in sometime!
Woohoo!! Welcome to the wonderful world of Candios!!!!!! Congrats to everyone!
It feels great to be able to talk to and text our LOs whenever. We've waited 9 long weeks for this day, and I can't believe that it's here. Twenty days and a wake up.
Congratulations to all the new Candios!
Bravo Zulu to all the newest Candios! To all their LO's it will be nice to hear from them by phone and text - but starting Sunday - they will be busier than they thought they would be...and probably doing with less sleep :-) Don't be surprised if you don't hear from them as often as you thought you would - they are now "in command", with resulting jobs and responsibilities that will keep them busy!
This is so true. I haven't have a conversation with James in over a week - just a short text now and then - very busy with the new Indocs.
James's comment about being a Candio, less sleep, but we have coffee. lol.
My oldest sent her sister 10 lbs of coffee from Seattle for the Candio lounge. I hear that its about 4 cups with each meal!
To all LOs of the class of 14-10 - Hold onto your hats. Your upcoming week or weekend in Newport will be a life altering experience. You will never look at your son or daughter, husband or wife the same again. I still can't believe how wonderful it was and how it has opened up such bright and promising futures. Congratulations to all of you.
Thank you. I know that all of us are very proud of our LOs. They have had to reach down deep into themselves to find the person that they have become through this OCS process. There are now the future of those that will carry on a tradition of caring for our country.

I know that I speak for all of the families and friends of the 14-10 class. Again, we are so proud of each and everyone of them.
Thanks, fourends. I'm incredibly proud of my LO; but then I knew that he had it in him to go through this. I can't wait to be in Newport and be at all the events. I keep praying to keep all the LOs healthy and strong.
Congratulations to 14-10 on your Candio and upcoming graduation/commissioning. It is the end of a journey that is rough, tough although so rewarding. Hats off to you and your LO! Enjoy every moment when you get to Newport, the experience is one of the most awesome experiences you will have as you have read from us in the past.

Best Wishes to all!
